Hickory Christian Academy’s junior varsity men’s basketball team played Alexander Central in a rematch of their double overtime loss earlier in the season. The game started off close with the 1st quarter ending with the Knights down by 3. The Knights went into half time down 4. It was in the 3rd quarter that they dug themselves into a hole. They allowed Alexander Central to score 10 points while only putting up 2, therefore, going into the 4th quarter down 12. The Knights starting pressing Alexander Central and at one point pulled to within 2. HCA dropped 20 points in the 4th quarter. Alexander Central added 12 in the 4th and walked away with the 40 - 44 win. 8th grade guard, Tate Sigmon, drained 5 3-point baskets and added a 2-point field goal to lead scoring with 17 points. Other scorers were sophomore guard/forward, Hunter Sjobom, 13 points; sophomore center, Marcus Allison, 7 points; and freshman guard, Ethan Palmberg, 3 points.
