During the second day of the Dr. Robert T. Stone Memorial Showcase held at Greenfield School in Wilson, NC the Knights defeated the Freedom Christian Academy Patriots, a 2A school located in Fayetteville by a score of 9-1.

After falling behind 1-0 early in the contest ,Hickory Christian scored nine unanswered to seal the victory. Leading the way offensively was junior forward Gabe Walker who had his best game of the young season with four goals and two assists. Right behind him in the scoring column was 8th grader forward Braden Runyon with 3 goals and one assist. Also scoring one goal each for the Knights were sophomore forward Spencer Burton and freshmen forward Wyatt King, both capturing their first career high school goals. Also contributing on the offensive end with one assist each were junior Aedan Arnot, junior Wil Lehman, junior Luke Ikerd and freshman Garrison Mullis. Freshmen mid center Braden Whitford  received the battle ball, a Hickory Christian tradition that recognizes the player exhibiting greatest effort. The freshmen mid center played significant minutes and initiated an aggressive offensive attack keeping the Patriots on the defensive side of the pitch.
